Thunder Bunny Co. (“Thunder Bunny,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates thunderbunnyco.com (the “Site”). We sell premium LED lighting kits for bathroom and home remodeling projects to homeowners and contractors.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at info@thunderbunnyco.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order and account information: name, email address, phone number, billing address, shipping address, and the contents of your order.
- Payment information: your card details are submitted directly to our payment processor. We do not receive or store full card numbers. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the last four digits and card brand.
- Communications: messages you send us by email, contact form, or phone, and any information you include in them.
- Project details: information you share when asking for help specifying a lighting kit, such as room dimensions, fixture placement, and photos of your project.
- Marketing sign-ups: your email address and, if you provide it, your mobile number.
- Reviews and comments: anything you post publicly on the Site.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URL, pages viewed, products viewed, items added to cart, time on page, and similar analytics data.
- Cookies and similar technologies: see Cookies and tracking below.
Phone calls
We use a cloud phone service to handle calls to our business line. Calls may be recorded and transcribed so we can capture order details accurately and improve our service. If you would prefer not to be recorded, please tell us at the start of the call or contact us in writing instead.
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from advertising and analytics platforms (such as Meta and Google), from our email and SMS marketing platform, and from shipping carriers and payment processors in connection with your order.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies on the Site, deployed through Google Tag Manager. These fall into a few categories:
- Strictly necessary: cookies that make the Site work — keeping items in your cart, letting you log in, and processing checkout. The Site does not function properly without these.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the Site, which pages and products get attention, and where people drop off.
- Advertising: we use the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram) to measure the performance of our ads and to show ads to people who have visited the Site or shown interest in our products. This means Meta may receive information about your visit, including pages viewed and actions taken such as adding an item to the cart or completing a purchase.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the Site.
Advertising and your choices
We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and use the Meta Pixel to measure results and reach relevant audiences. To limit this:
- Adjust your Meta ad preferences.
- Opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Use a browser that transmits a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. Where required by law, we treat a GPC signal as an opt-out of targeted advertising.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, our use of advertising cookies to show you targeted ads may be considered a “sale” or “share” of personal information under some state privacy laws. The controls above, and the request process under Your privacy rights, let you opt out.
Email and SMS marketing
If you sign up, we send marketing emails through our email marketing platform. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. If you have opted in to text messages, you can stop them by replying STOP. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an order you have placed, such as order confirmations and shipping notifications.
How we use your information
- Process, fulfill, ship, and support your orders, including returns and warranty claims.
- Communicate with you about your order and answer your questions.
- Help you specify the right lighting kit for your project.
- Send marketing communications you have asked to receive.
- Measure and improve our advertising, our Site, and our products.
- Maintain our internal business records, accounting, and inventory.
- Detect and prevent fraud, and protect the security of the Site.
- Comply with our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share your information with
We share personal information with service providers who perform functions on our behalf, and only as needed for those functions. Categories include:
- Payment processing — to take payment and prevent fraud.
- Shipping and fulfillment carriers — to deliver your order.
- Website hosting and e-commerce platform — to operate the Site and store order records.
- Email and SMS marketing platform — to send communications you have opted in to.
- Analytics and advertising platforms (including Meta and Google) — to measure and deliver advertising, as described above.
- Cloud phone and call transcription provider — to handle and transcribe calls.
- Accounting and business software — to maintain our financial records and internal customer records.
We may also disclose information if required by law, in response to a valid legal request, to enforce our Terms of Service, to protect our rights, property, or safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets.
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers.
How long we keep your information
We keep order and transaction records for as long as needed to fulfill the order, honor warranties and returns, and meet our tax, accounting, and legal obligations — typically several years. Marketing contact information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the retention settings of the relevant platform.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix information that is inaccurate.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information.
- Portability — receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
- Opt out of targeted advertising and of any “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information.
- Non-discrimination — we will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
Texas residents have these rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act; California, and residents of certain other states, have comparable rights under their own laws.
How to request access or deletion of your data
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, email us at info@thunderbunnyco.com with the subject line “Data Request”, or call (817) 841-9839. Please tell us what you would like us to do and include the email address or phone number associated with your orders so we can locate your records.
We will verify your identity before acting on the request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 45 days). We may need to retain certain information to comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, or to complete a transaction you have already begun. If we deny a request, we will tell you why, and you may appeal by replying to our response.
You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
If you have interacted with us through Facebook or Instagram and want data associated with that connection removed, use the same process above and we will remove what we hold.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
