Custom Kit

The bathrooms you’ve been saving pictures of
are lit in five places.

Niche. Vanity. Bench. Floating shelf. Ceiling cove. Lighting all of them used to mean a designer, a spec sheet and a four-figure invoice. Now you pick the spots and the Custom Kit Builder works out every part — the strips, the correctly sized drivers, the channel, the wire and every connector — then puts the whole job in your cart.

Build your bathroom

Add a bathroom, pick the fixtures you’re lighting, and tell us which switch each one runs off and the longest run length. That’s the whole input. We do the rest — including sizing the drivers, channels, wire and adding connectors… AND yes, everything is dimmable.

What's included?

Every Thunder Bunny install is the same five-part low-voltage system.

Use our switch or any dimmer switch on the market.

included items in led kit
Waterproof COB LED strip

One continuous line of light, not a row of dots

Dimmable driver

120V down to 24V, flicker-free, dims 0–100%

Low-voltage wire

Included 25 feet per run, so each light gets its own home run

Aluminum channel and diffuser

Cut to size on the job site. This won't slow you down.

All the small parts

End caps, silicone, butt connectors, channel screws, wire nuts, corner connectors

That last line is the one people underestimate. Missing a single connector on install day could prevent the system from being NEC compliant and stop the whole job, and it’s the reason piecing a kit together from five sellers goes wrong.

*Your electrician supplies the 120V run from switch to driver.

Easy to follow Install Video & Manual

The complete 15-minute install video and the downloadable PDF manual are free and public — you don’t have to be a customer.

Send the installation page to your contractor before they install. They’re in English and Spanish.

Your tile setter cuts the channel and the LED down to your exact opening on site, which is why one kit covers a range of niche sizes. You order by the longest length your fixture will be.

Choosing the Right Temperature (COLOR)

When choosing a temperature (color) for your lights it’s typically best practice to match the other lights in your bathroom.

In the picture the vanity lights are 4000k.

This photo is not AI. We replaced the niche lights with each of our LEDs to give you a true representation of the difference in color.

Shower niche light color options

Available in 3000K warm, 4000K neutral and 6000K cool. Warm is the default and the one most people mean when they say “spa.”

What customers say

“We did the niche and vanity lights in all 3 bathrooms and they’re definitely the highlight. The quality of the lights is top notch and so is the customer service.”

— Ryan

“The motion sensor makes the space really feel luxurious! Amazing product! 5 Stars!”

— Michael

“Great products and the installation instructions are clear. My contractor had no problem installing them, and the results are very satisfying! ”

— Amy

“The accented lighting in our newly remodeled master bathroom made it next level. Installing the product was quite simple…”

— Chad

“We looked at several similar products which were complicated in figuring out what components to use and how to pair. Plus cost was high. Thunder bunny was easy to order, great price and easy to install.”

— Todd C. Wenger, Wenger Contracting, Inc.

“At first I thought I could just piece a light kit together but I’m glad I went with Thunder Bunny because the quality is unbeatable.”

— Steve

Most people light three

You don’t have to do all five. But the people who light one spot rarely stop there — the niche is what brings you here, and the vanity is what you add once you’ve seen the niche finished. It costs a lot less to decide that now than after the tile is set.

Shower Niche

The shower niche on its own — the $249 kit. Where almost everyone starts, and a perfectly good place to stop.

Vanity

Bring balance to the lighting in the bathroom by adding a vanity light. Makes for a great night light as well for as little as $86

Bench

With our bright LEDs you might not need any other lighting in your shower with a niche and bench light.

This is not a strip light in a shower

It’s rated for where it’s going

The LED strip is IP68. The driver and the kit overall are IP67. It runs on 24V low-voltage, Class 2 — the only line-voltage part is the feed to the driver, which lives outside the wet zone.

It looks built-in because it is

The aluminum channel is made to be tiled into the opening, and the diffuser hides the individual diodes. COB — chip-on-board — gives you an even line instead of a row of dots showing through.

It comes apart if it ever needs to

The LED is rated 50,000 hours and sits on a quick disconnect. If a strip ever fails you unplug it and plug in a new one. No cutting, no re-splicing, nobody opening your tile.

Questions people ask before they order

You order by the maximum length your fixture will be, and the channel and LED get cut down on site to the exact opening. One kit covers a range of sizes, which is why there’s nothing to measure perfectly before you order.

It’s 24V low-voltage, Class 2, with an IP68 strip and an IP67 driver, and the channel is built to be tiled in. The only line-voltage part is the feed to the driver, which sits outside the wet zone.

Yes — it’s designed for exactly that. Free install video and PDF manual, English and Spanish, public before you buy. It’s the same five-part system on every job, so once he’s done one he’s done them all.

Not if the driver is sized to the load, and undersized drivers are the usual reason strip lighting blinks. A 30W driver reliably runs one strip; put a second on it and the inrush current can reset it. The builder sizes this for you so it isn’t something you have to know.

The strip is on a quick disconnect. You unplug the old one and plug in a new one — no cutting, no re-splicing, no demo. It’s rated 50,000 hours and covered by a 2-year warranty, and you have 60 days to return the kit if it isn’t right.

Ready when you are

The builder is in beta, it’s free to use, and nothing gets charged until you check out. If you’d rather talk it through, call 817-841-9839 — we spec these by phone every week.
