Bathroom LED Shower Lights

Good lighting can really make a bathroom stand out but how do you choose the right color of light for your bathroom remodel?

It depends on your material color and your finishes. This page will give you some ideas so you can decide what you like best for your new bathroom!

The 3000k Warm Yellow LEDs

The 3000k shower niche LED kit will give you a warm glow. This light works exceptionally well to highlight darker shower tile and will draw your eye to wood look tiles.

Typically you’ll want to stay away from the 3000k in a white or very light bathroom unless you plan to use gold hardware.

This is an example of 3000k lighting in a white bathroom. While it’s not bad if the fixtures were gold it would bring a more cohesive look.

Here the shower tile is a little lighter but with a wood tile backdrop the  light really pops.

The 4000k Warm White LEDs

The 4000k shower niche LED kit will give you slightly yellow light. This is the most versatile light if you’re not sure what color to go with. It will look good in almost all settings.

The 4000k will still bring out some of the earth tones in your accent tile without casting a yellow light across everything.

how to install lighting

Pro Tip! Make sure your mirror backlight matches your shower niche lights. In this picture the shower has 4000k LEDs and the mirror is 6000k.

The 6000k Bright White LEDs

The 6000k shower niche LED kit will give the brightest option. If you like to see what you’re doing in the shower this is a great option.

This does well in areas where your accent is white or has a lot of color and you don’t want to distort the look of the material.

This shows the difference of the 6000k white on a wood accent as opposed to the 3000k shown earlier.

Pro Tip! If you are going with the 6000k option then installing a dimmer switch is a good idea as you can see from the photo below it’s tough to get a good picture with a super bright light.
