Our shower niche lighting kit will allow you to convert your standard home 120V AC down to a low voltage DC to run your LED lighting from a switch. The kit is designed to be wired directly to your light switch and can be a standard or dimmable switch. The LEDs are COB LEDs to give you the best lighting experience. We include an aluminum profile for tiling your space so your lighting can sit flush with the tile. No. Our LED strips are solid-core IP68 COB LEDs, which differ from traditional LED strips. Once a strip is cut to length, the cut end is no longer waterproof, and there is no straightforward way to re-seal or reuse the excess portion, as you might with standard LED strips.
When installed properly LED light strips are safe. It is important that you use LEDs that are waterproof and have the proper power source so that they do not overheat. Our kits provide waterproof LEDs along with proper power sources to maximize safety.
