Our shower niche lighting kit will allow you to convert your standard home 120V AC down to a low voltage DC to run your LED lighting from a switch. The kit is designed to be wired directly to your light switch and can be a standard or dimmable switch. The LEDs are COB LEDs to give you the best lighting experience. We include an aluminum profile for tiling your space so your lighting can sit flush with the tile. Yes on the longer kit. No on the shorter kit. There is a lead at both ends of the LED strip for the longer kits and both sides can be used if the strip is cut but you will need an upgraded driver to run multiple LED strips.
When installed properly LED light strips are safe. It is important that you use LEDs that are waterproof and have the proper power source so that they do not overheat. Our kits provide waterproof LEDs along with proper power sources to maximize safety.
I ordered this light kit because I installed a shower in the place where my tub was. It was necessary to cover a window which was a major source of light. Because my ceiling hight in that area made overhead lighting impossible, I needed to think outside the box. This niche lighting was the perfect solution.
